In my undergraduate research assistant experiences, I researched in underground markets in Singapore (illegal drug market, illegal loan shark market) and thus have some knowledge about the economics of crime.
I am now a M.A. student and research assistant in Department of Economics. Before coming to Duke, I got my B.A. degree in Journalism with minor in Economics at Fudan University (China). In my undergraduate research assistant experiences, I researched in underground markets in Singapore (illegal drug market, loan shark market, sex market) for three co-authoring professors from Fudan University (China) and Nanyang Technological University (Singapore). I also have some experiences in Experimental Economics. My research interests lie in Applied Microeconomics and want to use economics to explore broader range of areas, including topics like crime, education, discrimination and media market. I plan to pursue a PhD in Economics or Public Policy after the master studies.
