Introduction to R for Applied Research

An introduction to the R language, with an emphasis on building familiarity with working in R, finding and interpreting documentation on R's many capabilities, and on performing basic statistical tasks. The course has four sequential sessions that run on Thursdays from 3-5 pm starting 2/7 and concluding 2/28, each (roughly) addressing the following topics: Session 1 - R basics, Introduction to the language; Session 2 - Data management and Finding what you need; Session 3 - Basic statistical analyses in R; Session 4 - Basic statistical modeling in R. The sessions are cumulative, so participants should plan to attend all four.
